Hacker attack did not affect the secret data of Merkel and her Department
As a result of the hacker attack, which touched hundreds of political and public figures in the Federal Republic of Germany, secret data of the Chancellor and personally Angela Merkel are not affected, said German Government spokeswoman Martina Fitz at a briefing.
“From the point of view of the Chancellor’s Office, according to the first estimates, it appears that no sensitive information and data are available on the Internet, the same applies to the Chancellor personally,” said Fitz.
Earlier it became known that hackers published on the Internet the data of hundreds of German politicians. The attack affected all parties of the Bundestag, except for the “Alternative for Germany”. Tabloid Bild, citing sources reported that the attack was partially published letters from personal email accounts, phone numbers, and personal addresses.
