Japanese authorities cheated on citizens by half a billion dollars.

The Ministry of health, labour and welfare of Japan has published inaccurate statistics for 22 years, resulting in non-payment of about 53.7 billion yen (more than $ 497 million) to citizens.

The Ministry has already officially apologized and promised to pay the missing funds to all the victims. At the same time, those who, on the contrary, turned out to be in the black because of mistakes, do not have to return the money.

It is noted that inaccuracies in statistics arose in 1996. This is reflected in various benefits for more than 19 and 73 million people across the country. In connection with the detected error, the Japanese government even began to revise the draft budget for fiscal year 2019.
