Press Secretary of the Pentagon is retiring after Mattis

Top Pentagon Spokeswoman Dana White announced her resignation following the resignation of Pentagon chief James Mattis, who will be leaving his post since January 1. She wrote about this on Monday in Twitter.

“I am grateful for the opportunity provided by this administration to serve alongside Minister Mettis, our military and the civilians who support them,” White said. Her deputy, Charlie Summers, will be acting press secretary on January 1.

We recall that the head of the Pentagon, James Mattis, said he was retiring. After that, US President Donald Trump announced that US First Deputy Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan would serve as Secretary of Defense after the resignation of James Mattis.

The US President Donald Trump noted that the future acting head of the Pentagon has a great track record and has achieved a lot during his work as Deputy Minister, and before that – in the Boeing company.
