Trump to deliver State of the Union Address On 5 February

US President Donald Trump accepted the invitation of US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi to give an annual speech “on the state of the nation” in Congress on February 5.

“It is my great honor to accept. We need to tell a wonderful story and achieve even more,” says Trump’s formal letter to Pelosi”.

Previously, Pelosi refused to set the date for the traditional message until the budget crisis ended. The original date of January 29 was canceled at the insistence of the speaker. Trump agreed to the demands of the Democrats and signed last week a bill on the budget for a period of three weeks, completing the federal shatdown. This allowed Pelosi to send Trump a new formal invitation to speak at the congress.
